THE laptop scheme is a positive step. I got one in BS (Hons) from the Punjab chief minister. It helps me a lot in my studies.

But this scheme is not available for MPhil and PhD programmes, since those who cannot afford a laptop face many hurdles. The government should come to the help of such students and provide them laptops.
