KARACHI: A policeman was shot dead in a suspected targeted attack in Azizabad on Saturday evening, police said.

They added that Constable Tabish Ali was performing his duty at the Gosht Market in Karimabad when gunmen on a motorcycle attacked him. He sustained multiple bullet wounds and was taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.

Azizabad SHO Haseebullah Qureshi said the police were trying to ascertain the exact motive for the murder.
