Three killed on road

SWABI: Three people were on Friday killed and eight others wounded in an accident on the motorway here in the jurisdiction of Chota Lahor police station.

Police said a pick-up van, taking a Haj pilgrim and his relatives from the Peshawar airport met the accident on the Islamabad-Peshawar Motorway on Thursday night, killing two people on the spot, while the third one succumbed to injuries in Bacha Khan Medical Complex, Shahmansoor.

The victims were identified as Anwar Khan, Sher Bahadar and Fazal Mohammad, a grade 9 student.

The deceased included two nephews of Haji Sherzad of Topi, who was also injured in the mishap.

The injured were shifted to the Bacha Khan Medical Complex where they were stated to be in stable condition.

Meanwhile, an 18-year-old boy of Spin Kani village has been missing for the last one week. His family said they didn’t know whereabouts of the boy.
