Four of family killed in road accident

CHINIOT: Four members of a family were killed and three others injured in a car-truck collision on Friday near Adda Burjian on Chiniot-Pindi Bhattian Road.

Ulfat Zain, 50, of Jhang, was traveling with his six family members in a car. Near Addah Burjian, 20 kilometres from Chiniot, their car collided with a truck. As a result, Ulfat, his wife Kausar Bibi, son Mohammad Waris, 15, and nephew Nadeem Akhtar, 4, died at the spot. His sister-in-law Sakina Bibi, 30, daughter Mehwish, 10, and nephew Mohammad Mubeen, 5, sustained serious injuries.

The collision was so severe that the rescuers had to cut the body of the car to pull bodies and injured people out. The injured were shifted to the Chiniot District Headquarters Hospital.

Burjian check post police seized the truck while the driver fled.
