Globalisation

IT has become a headache for state institutions to control the ever-increasing sharing of information via global networking.

Though this has helped reduce distances, it is an equally challenging task for a state to protect its resources.

The recent cyber-crime issue that underlined security concerns of nuclear facilities of nuclear weapon countries has put a question mark on the world’s existing security systems.

Technological globalisation is being exploited by private hackers and more so by intelligence agencies worldwide. It is not possible to counter such attacks as the global network traffic volume is huge and busy. Sooner rather than later, a time will come when international boundaries will become a thing of the past. We have to prepare ourselves for all of its implications.
