KARACHI: Television actor, anchorperson and retired banker Raju Jamil has been elected president of the Anjuman Taraqqi-i-Urdu Pakistan in an election supervised by Karachi Commissioner Shoaib Siddiqui.

According to a statement issued on Saturday, Prof Sahar Ansari and Fatema Hassan were elected treasurer and secretary of the body, respectively.
