Jazbaa isn't my comeback film: Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan

Some hail it as Ash's comeback film, others wonder at its strong female protagonist, but Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan is having none of those labels slapped on her latest film, *Jazbaa.*

The release of Jazbaa's trailer has renewed interest in Aishwarya's first film in five years, and has her hubby giving it a thumbs-up:

But for the actress, her hiatus seems to have flown by.

“I don’t see or feel that I have been absent. All working women will agree that time flies by and I have also not dwelt on this movie as my comeback vehicle,” Aishwarya said at the trailer launch, reported Indian Express.

She also disagreed on characterising Jazbaa as female-centric: "We don’t compartmentalise a film into male or female centric film. We take up a film to engage in storytelling and to bring that story before the audience. I think the viewers too don’t see it as male or female centric. They see it as a film and it will work if it has a great story."

Jazbaa sees Ash star alongside Irrfan Khan, who's admitted that she is one of the main reasons why he signed up for this action thriller.

Saying that he chose to Jazbaa because of director Sanjay Gupta and Aishwariya, Irrfan added: "Ash was the biggest reason for me to do this movie. I enjoyed the experience. There is nothing more enjoyable than to witness a mother do a movie and also take care of her kid."

Jazbaa, which is the action-packed story of a lawyer whose daughter gets kidnapped, will release on October 9.
