Mapping the world’s phone calls
Fewer than 5pc of telephone calls cross country borders. The index also shows that most phone calls that do cross international lines follow immigration routes, the most common being from the US to Mexico and the US to India. In total, 41pc of cross-border calls are made from advanced economies to emerging ones.
