Three TTP leaders among 16 arrested

QUETTA: Security forces claim to have arrested 16 suspected militants, among them three leaders of the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), in different areas of Balochistan.

Security officials said on Sunday that personnel of Fro­ntier Corps and intelligence agencies raided a hostel in Qila Saifullah after receiving information about the presence of three TTP leaders and took them into custody.

An official said that on information provided by the arrested men security personnel carried out a search operation in Dalbandin city of Chagai district and arrested seven more men belonging to the TTP.

Meanwhile, security personnel raided a place in Sanjavi area of Loralai district and arrested three suspects who were allegedly involved in terrorist attacks and targeted killings.

FC troops took three suspects into custody in Zhob.
