The minister earlier attended a meeting of the Judicial Commission of Pakistan held in the Supreme Court’s Karachi registry to consider new appointments and to confirm additional judges of the Sindh High Court.

Mr Rashid, who belongs to PML-N, said efforts were being made to convince the MQM and JUI-F leaders over the issue of de-seating of the MNAs of PTI.

He said almost everyone had rendered sacrifices to root out the menace of terrorism from the country.

In reply to a question on the findings of the poll inquiry commission, the minister said his party would have quit the government had the PTI’s allegations been found to be true.

Earlier, the meeting of the judicial commission was held with Chief Justice Nasirul Mulk in the chair. It was attended by SHC Chief Justice Faisal Arab, federal and provincial law ministers and the representatives of the lawyers.
