Man, son among four killed in Kasur

KASUR, Oct 11: Four people, including a man and his son, were killed in three incidents in the district during the last 24 hours.

A boy was shot dead by four people over a petty dispute at Nathey Khalsa village. Police said Rizwan had quarrelled with Muhammad Mansha a few days ago over some dispute, which was resolved by the local elders.

However, Mansha took his three companions to the house of Rizwan, aged 17, and shot dead him as he came out.

The Phoolnagar police have registered a case on the complaint of the deceased’s father, Boota.

At Mandi Kanganpur locality, a woman was killed by her husband over domestic problems.

Reports said Salma Bibi had married Abdul Waheed nine months ago, but they were not enjoying good conjugal relations. Salma started living at her uncle’s place where her husband came and forced her to return home. On her refusal, they exchanged harsh words after which Waheed stabbed her.

Kanganpur police have instituted a case.

A man and his son were shot dead over enmity at Janga Singh Wala village in Kanganpur.

Khalid Dogar and Sirajdin, according to police, were at dagger’s drawn for the past decade. On Saturday, Khalid, along with his five accomplices, went to his rival’s outhouse and opened as indiscriminate fire on the inmates. As a result, Sirajdin and his son Umar Siraj were killed.

The Kanganpur police have registered a case against the suspects and are investigating.

ABDUCTED: A woman was abducted by three men at Yousaf Shah Town, Saddar, on Saturday.

Police said three men barged into Abdul Jabbar’s house and abducted his wife at gunpoint. The intruders also took away Rs20,500 in cash and gold ornaments.

Four armed men plundered cash, jewellery and other valuables worth hundreds of thousands of rupees in a house robbery at Shah Inayat Colony.

The robbers stormed into Malik Anis Ahmad’s house, held up the inmates and took away Rs150,000 in cash, 18 tolas of gold and other valuables.

City A-Division police are investigating.
