Golf circuit to commence with CNS Open on Aug 6

KARACHI: Country’s top golfers will assemble in the city early next month to feature in three events in-a-row as the Pakistan Golf Federation (PGF) domestic circuit resumes with the UMA 20th Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS) Open Golf Championship at the Karachi Golf Club on Aug 6.

This time the event carries a bumper prize money of Rs6.0 million besides two brand new cars up for grabs for Hole-in-One in the pros and amateur categories.

Of the Rs6.0 million, Rs5.5 has been set aside for pros while Rs0.5 million will be disbursed among top KGC caddies and semi-pros.

The pros and amateurs contests will be played concurrently over 72 holes while other events include senior pros, seniors, veterans, ladies and juniors.

This will be followed by the 54-holes 15th Sindh Open which takes place at the Arabian Sea Country Club (ASCC) from Aug 14-16.

The third and last event on card will be the Independence Day DHA Open to be played at the Defence Authority Country and Golf Club from Aug 21-23.
