Following 'Jogi' and 'Jhoolay Laal' on Coke Studio Season 7 last year, Fariha Pervez has returned with a poignant rendition of ‘Makkay Gayyan’, the legendary kalaam of sufi Bulle Shah.

The famous kalaam of Bulle Shah, which is about finding the ‘ultimate’, points towards all those who are pretentious when it comes to faith.

Ending with these lines, 'Makkay Gayan' is all about removing the ego from the self:

Bulleh Shah gal taiyon mukdi

Jadoon main noo Dillon mukaiy

Fariha, who made a comeback at Coke Studio, released this rendition after almost a year. Although out of the music scene she is still remembered for her popular song 'Patang Ba Sajna Se'.
