Three killed doing a wheelie

LAHORE: Three boys were killed and another injured after their motorcycles hit each other while one-wheeling on Ring Road early on Sunday.

Ring Road police checkpost in-charge Shakoor Baig said three of the four riders on two motorcycles were killed when their vehicles hit each other and crashed into a roadside barrier. He said they were attempting stunts when they lost the control over their bikes and crashed. Three of the boys were killed on the spot while the fourth was shifted to a nearby hospital where he was said to be in critical condition.

Baig said no traffic warden was on duty at the time of the accident that happened around 5:30am, while traffic police were deployed at 7am.

Quoting witnesses, he said the boys were attempting one-wheeling when handlebars of their motorcycles got entangled and they crashed into the roadside barrier.

The deceased were identified as Abdul Rehman, 18, Ali Raza, 20, and Ali Haider, 21. The fourth was not yet identified until the filing of this report.
