KASUR: Police claimed on Sunday to have arrested 25 suspects during a search operation in Kot Radha Kishan.

A police team headed by Saddar circle DSP Mirza Arif Baig, on the direction of DPO Rai Babar Saeed and intelligence agencies, raided various localities of Kot Radha Kishan on the night between Saturday and Sunday and arrested 25 suspects. They detained the suspects at an undisclosed place.

The DSP told Dawn that the suspects who proved their identity were released. He said on a tip-off, police raided a house and recovered two sackfuls of weapons. Police also arrested a man and registered a case against him.

OKARA: Police during a search operation just before Iftar on Sunday evening arrested 69 Pakhtuns, said District Police Officer Faisal Rana.

He said the search operation would continue.
