Balochistan’s youths asked to support Pakistan Army

QUETTA: The Commander of Southern Command, Lt Gen Nasser Khan Janjua, has said that some elements have been carrying out targeted killings and acts of sabotage in the name of freedom struggle and added that Pakistan Army loves the youths who are paying attention to their studies.

Addressing a ceremony at the Sardar Bahadur Khan Women University, he said: “The nation has pinned hope on youths who are the future of Pakistan. They should never pay attention to the elements who are committing targeted killings, violence, terrorism and sabotage acts.”

He said all people living in Pakistan got freedom in 1947 but now some elements were killing their brothers and sisters in the name of the so-called freedom struggle. “Youths should support the Pakistan Army which wants their future to be bright.”

He said Pakistan Army was playing a significant role in efforts aimed at restoration of peace and for progress and prosperity of the country, adding that it would continue its role for strengthening the country’s defence.

Earlier, Balochistan Governor Muhammad Khan Achakzai and the commander offered prayer for those students of the university who lost their lives in a bus bomb blast.

Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Rukhsana Jabeen was present on the occasion.
