SHEIKHUPURA: Two proclaimed offenders were killed by the firing of their accomplices here on Tuesday near Kot Pindi Daas, police said.

The Factory Area police had arrested offenders Wali Muhammad and Faisal Gulzar involved in more than 50 incidents of robbery in Sheikhupura and Lahore.

Police said a team led by SI Akram was escorting them to their hideout to recover the looted goods. Near railway crossing some of their accomplices stopped the police, got the handcuffed outlaws released and shot them dead. However, eyewitnesses said police shot them dead near the railway crossing.
