Kidney transplant

KHAIRPUR: Two more kidney transplantations were carried out at the Gambat Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS) on Sunday.

Doctors transplanted a kidney of Umeed Ali, 34, donated by his mother Zainab, 52.

Another patient Waheed, 28, was donated a kidney by his brother Mushtaque, 36.

Both operations were carried out by a team of doctors comprising surgeon Dr Mohammad Khan Baber, Dr Saboor Soomro and Dr Diloo Raja from the Kidney Centre.

Doctors told reporters that recipients and donors were out of danger and recovering.
