Four gunned down in Kohat incidents

KOHAT: Four people were gunned down in separate incidents here on Sunday.

Police said that some Afghan refugees and residents of Jungle Khel area were bathing in the Buna Baba spring when they started quarrelling with each other. Later the two sides resorted to firing. The exchange of fire resulted in the killing of an Afghan refugee identified as Rasheed Khan and Muhammad Luqman of the mohallah SP Sikandar Khan of Jungle Khel. Another resident identified as Wahidur Rehman received multiple bullet injuries, and was shifted to hospital, where his condition was stated to be out of danger.

The Jungle Khel police on the complaint of Wahid ur Rehman and Malik Riaz lodged a cross FIR. Eight persons were nominated in the case from both the sides. Police began conducting raids to arrest the accused persons.

In Charso Chowk area of Dhoda, Shoeb, a resident of Ambar Banda, killed Rafeed Gul over a petty dispute.

Later, the sons of the victim shot dead Shoeb Khan and managed to escape from the scene.

The police shifted the bodies of all the four deceased men to KDA divisional headquarters hospital’s morgue. After legal formalities, the bodies were later handed over to relatives.
