Cash award for Pakistan trio

KARACHI: Nadeem Omar, prominent sports organiser and managing director of Omar Associates, has announced cash award Rs100,000 each for Pakistan wicket-keeper Sarfraz Ahmed, batsman Asad Shafiq and leg spinner Yasir Shah on their brilliant performance against Sri Lanka in the first Test in Galle.

Nadeem lauded Misbah-ul-Haq’s side for their crushing 10-wicket victory despite the loss of the entire opening day’s play due to rain.

He said that the ceremony will be held a befitting manner in the city.

Azam Khan, secretary of Pakistan CC, also lauded the national team’s outstanding show and hoped that this success will propelled Pakistan to achieve even more good results in the future.

Zafar Ahmed, Zia Ahmed Siddiqui, president of KCCA Zone-VI, Haji Nasarullah Khan and Ejaz Khan also congratulated Pakistan side for sealing their first Test in Sri Lanka after nine years.
