Teachers for filling vacant posts in BISE

KARAK: Tanzeem-i-Asataza Pakistan, Karak chapter, has demanded of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government to fill all vacant posts in the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE), Kohat, to improve its efficiency.

The demanded was by the central finance secretary of Tanzeem-i-Asataza Khairullah Hawari while addressing a press conference here on Friday. He alleged that serious irregularities had surfaced in the last matriculation and intermediate examinations and demanded investigations in this regard.

Mr Hawari termed the decision of the previous MMA government to give the education boards under the control of the chief minister extremely unwise. He said that appointments in the education boards on the basis of political affiliations had affected the examination system.

The teachers’ body leader demanded that the education boards be given under the control of governor to stop the sale and purchase of key posts.
