Cases against seminary, school over security

OKARA: Police on Friday registered cases against a seminary and a private school for non-compliance of security measures under the National Action Plan (NAP).

During a visit, the City Renala police found no CCTV cameras in the Jamia Mahmoodia Renala Khurd in spite of earlier warnings. Police registered the case against the seminary and it’s Mohtamim Muhammad Ramzan under the Security Ordinance 2015.

Shergarh police registered a case against a private school, Tahir Academy, as it had no security guard, no metal detector and alarm system.

LAWYERS: City Renala police had registered a case against the lawyers of Renala Khurd Tehsil Bar Association (TBA) on May 25 when they allegedly pelted a police van with stones during a protest against their colleagues’ killings in Daska.

However, police did not reveal it until Friday.

TBA Renala Secretary General Chaudhry Azam had already registered a case against four policemen, including a sub-inspector, on the same day.
