India releases three Pakistani prisoners

LAHORE: The Indian government on Thursday released three Pakistani prisoners from Indian jails.

Indian authorities handed over the prisoners to Pakistan Rangers officials at Wagah border here, Rangers sources said.

Edhi Foundation Lahore provided cold drinks and edibles to the incoming prisoners at Wagah Border.

Meanwhile, Pakistan Rangers handed over two of the prisoners, Maqsood Ahmad and Asghar Ali, to the Edhi Foundation.

Edhi officials took the two prisoners to the Edhi Home Gulberg here.

Edhi Foundation spokesman said that the prisoners would be sent to their homes soon.

Pakistan and India frequently arrest and accuse each other’s fishermen of violating their respective zones in the Arabian Sea.
