A level exams: a plea

A LEVEL examinations are going on under the Cambridge International Examinations. The British Council is responsible for arrangements. Both these follow each other while conducting these examinations. The British Council also supervises all such affairs.

It is sad to mention there are poor arrangements at different centres. Both parents and students have seen chaos during these days. Owing to this mismanagement and irregularities students face mental stress and agony. There is no peace of mind, and this affects students’ performance.

News of alleged leakage of a paper ahead of time shocked many parents and students. In such cases the policy the CIE adopts is unfair and unjustified. Strict measures should be taken in this regard. The authorities concerned should ensure there is no leakage of examination papers.

Parents pay hefty amounts of money as fee for these international examinations. But they do not get the required facilities. There are no proper parking and waiting areas at the centres. It becomes difficult when students have to take two papers on the same day.

The authorities concerned should ensure good arrangements and foolproof system in the future.
