Assistant Commissioner Murree Tahir Farooq told this correspondent on Tuesday that after the matter was brought to his knowledge he started a search in different places and recovered some of the benches at a scrap shop at Sunny Bank where they were sold.

The police have registered a case against the thieves and started an investigation, he added.
