LPG price raised by Rs5 per kg
LAHORE: Marketing companies raised the price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) by Rs5 per kg on Friday, which means an increase of Rs30-40 on a domestic cylinder and Rs120-160 on a commercial one.
Prices may be increased further before Ramazan, LPG Distributors Association Pakistan said in a statement.
The demand for LPG, which decreased in the open market because of fall in petrol prices, has started to rise ahead of Ramazan, it said.
The association urged the government to order all LPG marketing companies to stock the fuel for continuous supply to consumers.
Meanwhile, price control magistrates of Lahore’s city district government on Friday got arrested 34 shopkeepers, besides imposing fine of Rs83,000 on several others for overcharging, according to a spokesman.
