JuD chief lauds ‘RAW exposure’

KARACHI: Jamaat-ud-Dawa chief Hafiz Mohammad Saeed appreciated on Monday the government’s move to “finally” expose the Indian intelligence agency Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) for its involvement in various terrorist activities across Pakistan, but also slammed government for remaining silent on the issue for around a decade.

Speaking to members of the Karachi Bar Association at the City Courts, the JuD chief said India and the United States were concerned about China’s growing investment in Pakistan. He criticised the politicians for what he said compromising on national security for the sake of their political interests.

India had been hatching conspiracies against Pakistan since 1947, he said and added that the neighbouring country had constantly been violating the UN resolutions on the Kashmir issue.

He said Pakistan was still facing consequences of allying itself with the US in the so-called war on terror.

KBA president Naeem Qureshi and others also spoke.
