LAHORE: The National Volleyball Championships will be held at the Wapda Sports Complex here from May 11 to 17.

All affiliated units of the federation like Army, Wapda, Police, all provinces and others would field their teams.

Pakistan Volleyball Federation chairman Chaudhary Mohammad Yaqoob said that Pakistan Army was participating in the event after many years.

Their remained intense rivalry between two bodies of the Pakistan Olympic Association which led to various federations siding with either the POA led by Arif Hasan or the one headed by Akram Sahi.
