Misbehaviour with citizens won’t be tolerated: CCPO

LAHORE: Capital City Police Officer retired Capt Amin Wains has said that misbehavior with citizens at model police stations will not be tolerated and strict action will be taken over complaints.

The CCPO was addressing to a meeting held in connection with the establishment of model police stations at the Police Lines in Qila Gujjar Singh here on Monday. DIG (Operations) Dr Haider Ashraf, SSP (Investigation) Rana Ayyaz Saleem, SSP (Operations) Muhammad Baqir Raza, SSP (Admin) Hasan Mushtaq Sukhera, CRO SP Umer Riaz Cheema, CIA SP Muhammad Umer Virk were also present.

The CCPO directed all police officers to respect citizens during checking of vehicles and motorcycles at check points.

He said that vehicles should be returned to owners upon producing documents.

The CCPO warned that strict action would be taken against officials irrespective of their rank if they were found involved in harassing citizens.

He also directed the admin officers posted at different police stations to bring the miss-conduct of police officials to the notice of senior officers over any violation of law in model police stations.
