Subject specialists ignored in exam duty

KARAK: The Subject Specialist Association (SSA), Karak district chapter, on Friday condemned the decision of the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE), Kohat, for ignoring them in the examination duty, commencing from April 29.

The concerned was voiced at a meeting here chaired by the association’s district president Zahoor Ahmad.

Finance secretary Iqbal Khan Marwat informed the meeting that not a single subject specialist had been deputed in the intermediate exam duty from Karak. He said honest and upright teachers should be assigned duties to curb cheating in exams.

Mr Marwat alleged that the BISE, Kohat had been appeasing the owners of the private educational institutions.

He alleged that the board had earlier fixed April 15 for computerised draw of the duties, but later it changed the date to April 21 to manipulate the whole process.

The participants said that during last SSC exam, even a retired teacher was assigned duty. They demanded of Chief Minister Pervez Khattak to punish those who ignored them in exam duty.
