Three boys hospitalised after dogs attack

TOBA TEK SINGH: Three boys suffered bite wounds as several stray dogs attacked them near Chak 301-JB, Gojra, on Thursday.

The eyewitnesses said Adnan Ashfaq and Shabbir Liaqat of Chak 302-JB and Zain Ikram of Chal 301-JB were going on foot when the dogs attacked them in the fields and bit them severely. They were shifted to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, Gojra.

Meanwhile, two teenaged boys, Mustafa and Tajammal, of Chak 361-JB were critically injured when a van coming from Gojra hit their motorcycle on Gojra-Faisalabad road. They were rushed to THQ Gojra where doctors referred them to Allied Hospital, Faisalabad.

AWP: The Awami Workers Party (AWP) will hold a condolence reference for AWP district secretary general, rights activist and labour leader Tariq Mahmood on the May Day at Kamal Chowk.

The reference would be presided by farmers’ leader Chaudhry Fateh Muhammad while AWP central secretary general Farooq Tariq, Nazli Javed, Alya Ameer Ali, AWP district president Muhammad Zubair, Karam Elahi Dewan, Nadim Ashraf Jogi, Akhtar Abbas, Nawab Din and Ijaz Iqbal would remember their late party fellow who passed away after a brief illness two months ago.
