ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Saturday suspended the SHO of Shalimar police station for his failure to take action against those who beat up and injured a constable a few days ago.

According to a statement issued by a spokesman for the minister, subdivisional police officer Shalimar and the superintendent of Sadder zone police were also removed from their posts over the incident.

The police officers were also served show-cause notices, it added.
