‘50,000 youths to get internship’

HYDERABAD: Around 50,000 youths would be given internship opportunities in each province under a prime minister’s youth training scheme.

This was stated by a deputy director of the federal ministry of inter-provincial coordination, Azhar Abbas, at a meeting with the representatives of the Hyderabad Chamber of Comm­erce and Industry on Tuesday. HCCI vice president Turab Ali Khoja, Ziauddin, Mohammad Shahid and Adeel Siddiqui attended the meeting.

He informed them that the federal government was planning a scheme for the encouragement of educated youth of the country under which they would be offered internship for one year in public and private sectors. He said stipend of Rs12,000 would be paid by the government to each internee and the programme would start from July 2015.
