Nawabzada’s death widely condoled
BAHAWALPUR, Sept 27: The people belonging to every strata of society expressed profound grief and sorrow over the death of ARD chief Nawabzada Nasrullah Khan.
The late Nawabzada remained the main topic throughout the day in all restaurants, offices, institutions and almost everywhere.
The opposition circles were not behind in expressing their sorrow over the loss of a veteran political figure of the country.
Among politicians who paid rich tributes to the late Nawabzada were PPP district president Riaz Dahar, secretary-general Habibullah Bhutta, PML (N) district president Mumtaz Ahmed Jajja, district secretary Iqbal Mahar, former PML-N MNA Seth Aqeelur Rehman and ex-MPA Chaudhry Samiullah.
They said the opposition leadership would rise to the occasion and continue struggle for the restoration of true democracy to fulfil the incomplete mission of the late ARD chief.
TOBA TEK SINGH: Political leaders have paid tributes to the late ARD chief for his struggle for the cause of democracy.
In separate statements, they said the late Nawabzada had never supported dishonest politicians and continued his struggle against dictators throughout his life.
Those who issued condolence messages included former public accounts committee chairman of national assembly Hamza, former federal minister Chaudhry Asadur Rehman, Punjab Millat Party chief organizer Ghiasuddin Janbaz, former PPP MPA Mian Muhammad Rafiq and Jamiat Ahl-i-Hadith central leader Allama Burq Toheedi.
OKARA: Relentless struggle for the cause of democracy in the country by the late ARD chief will always be remembered.
These views were expressed by various political leaders, including Defence Minister Rao Sikander Iqbal, MPA Muhammad Ashraf Khan Sohna, ex-MPAs Chaudhry Ikramul Haq, Chaudhry Muhammad Arif, former MC chairman Mian Muhammad Munir, former MNA Maulana Moeenuddin, federal parliamentary secretary and MNA Rai Muhammad Aslam Kharal, former federal minister Mian Muhammad Zaman and MMA district president Capt Dr Liaquat Ali Kausar (retired).
MUZZAFARGARH: Family sources said that Nisar Ahmed, the son of the late Nawabzada, would wear the ‘dastar’.
