Ill-equipped ambulances

I WOULD like to draw the attention of Chhipa, Khidmat-i-Khalq Foundation and Edhi ambulance services. The issue with their ambulances is that they are not meant to be used as an ambulance. There is no other life-saving equipment installed except for oxygen supply.

Moreover, the cabin of the vehicle is not big enough and for that reason getting patient in and out of it is a problem.

Furthermore, the stretcher is not fully fixed and also does not have belts or straps to tie around patients. Owing to this, patients experience jerks and vibrations during the movement of the ambulance.

Moreover, the ambulance is not fast and the ride is not firm in any way. With such problems, patients have less chances of survival. All this could improve if these organisations upgrade their ambulances as spacious multi-purpose vehicles equipped with multiple life-saving equipment and doctors.

This upgrading of rescue and paramedical facilities will result in saving more lives.
