Rs3.6m looted from bank

MULTAN: Four gunmen took away Rs3.6 million on Friday from a bank at Saddu Saam Chowk.

Police said the gunmen held the guards and staffers of Allied Bank’s Saddu Saam branch at gunpoint and looted the cash.

Two gunmen held the guard at the entry gate of the bank and the remaining two overpowered the guard deployed in the bank and disarmed them. They held the entire staff at gunpoint, looted the cash and fled on their motorcycle.

Haram Gate Deputy Superintendent of Police Muhammad Naeem with police force rushed to the branch and recorded the statements of bank officials.

Police registered a case against unidentified gunmen and started investigation.
