RAHIM YAR KHAN: More than 10 seats of government offices are vacant in the district and other officers have been given charge of those seats.

The seat of district coordination officer is vacant after the transfer of Nabeel Jeved and now Additional District Collector Syed Tariq Bukhari has additional charge of the seat.

The finance and planning executive district officer (EDO) seat is vacant and District Officer (planning) Talib Randhawa has been given additional charge of the office.

District Monitoring Officer Chaudhry Muhammad Hanif is looking after the offices of district officer coordination while Deputy District Officer (human resource management) Chaudhry Riasat Ali has additional charge of district officer office of the human resource management.

The seat of community development EDO is also vacant and charge has been entrusted with District Officer of labour Imran Haider Tipu.

District Officer of buildings Shahid Khan Baloch has also the charge of works and services EDO while the office of district officer of livestock is being run by Deputy District Officer (poultry) Sabtain Shah.

Agriculture Officer Chaudhry Samiullah has additional charge of extra assistant director of agriculture (economics and marketing) and administrator of market committee. Similarly, the seats of superintendent of police (SP) of headquarters, DSP of traffic and DSP of organised crime are also vacant. SP (investigation) Tariq Elahi Mastoi is looking the matters of SP (headquarters) office.

The post of Shaikh Zayed Medical College principal has also been vacant for months and Prof Dr Athar is looking after the office.
