APS students leave for China

PESHAWAR: A second group of the Army Public School students has left for China for an educational-cum-recreational tour as part of their rehabilitation programme.

During the ten-day visit, students accompanied by their parents and teachers will visit major Chinese cities, including Beijing, Shenzhen, Gongzhour and Hong Kong.

According to ISPR, before their departure to China on Thursday, Chinese embassy in Islamabad arranged a reception for the APS students, their parents and teachers. Chinese hosts at the embassy accorded a warm welcome to APS students at the reception.

Speaking on the occasion, Maj-Gen Qi Huajun, naval and military attache at the Chinese embassy, said that Pakistan and China were time tested friends.

The people in China were deeply aggrieved after the terrorist attack on the APS and the jloss of innocent lives. He said the visit aimed to express the resolve of Chine people that they would always stand with their Pakistani brethren. It may be mentioned here that the first group of students after their visit to China had arrived back to Peshawar, last week.—APP
