Gas, power woes come in droves

LAHORE: Thursday was a bad day for gas and power consumers as several localities experienced gas brown-outs while Lesco officials, who are on strike for stoppage of company privatisation, did not entertain public complaints.

“For the last couple of days we are facing low gas pressure,” said Kashif, of Gulberg’s N block.

City power feeders continued tripping suspending power supply to Johar Town, Township, Wapda Town, Harbanspura and Gulberg.

“The situation is difficult for us as the field staff has refused to work in affected areas,” said an SDO of Johar Town. He was not allowed to enter the office, he said.
