THIS is apropos the Loudspeaker Ordinance 1965 ‘Fifty years ago’ (from the past pages of Dawn).

It seems that half a century ago this nation was sane and shrewd towards religion and not succumbing to bigotry which we are witnessing today.

And, of course, the editor of ‘From the pages of Dawn’ should be felicitated for this selection too.
