PESHAWAR: The National Accountability Bureau, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has arrested two bank employees for allegedly embezzling approximately Rs55 million in SNGPL utility bills.

In a statement issued here on Monday, the NAB said that it received a complaint regarding embezzlement of huge amount in respect of SNGPL utility bills by employees at the Al-Barka Bank’s Hayatabad branch. The NAB taking cognizance started inquiry into the matter, which revealed that bank employees, M Irfan and Qazi Wajidullah Khan, in connivance with others, used to pocket the amount of utility bills paid by SNGPL consumers through the bank’s Hayatabad branch.
