DMC South to host boxing event for APS martyrs

KARACHI: The DMC South Shouhada Army Public School Boxing Championship will commence at the Ali Mohammad Qmabrani Stadium, Kakri Ground Lyari from March 13.

This was announced by Municipal Commission South Mohammad Raeesi in a meeting held in the metropolis on Saturday. Some fifty young boxers from all districts of the city will be competing in the event which will have forty bouts the draws for which will be taken out in Muslim Azad Boxing Club Lyari on March 12.

Raeesi said that DMC South had paid a tribute to the martyred children of the Peshawar Army Public School by organizing an under-12 football tournament last month and the boxing event to be held this month is a continuation of the same.

The meeting was attended among others by Director Sports Asif Azeem, Sindh Boxing Association vice president Abid Brohi, SBA secretary Asghar Baloch and sports secretary south Siraj Khan.
