QUETTA: Customs Intelli­gence foiled an attempt to smuggle 600kg of hashish to Karachi on Monday.

According to officials, the hashish was seized near Kalat from a coach going from Quetta to Karachi.

The smugglers had concealed it in chocolate, tea and coffee packets.

Customs officials said the suspected smugglers escaped when the staff started searching the coach.
