KARAK: Provincial Minister of Revenue Ali Ameen Khan Gandapur has said that government will provide transport facility to the teachers, posted in remote areas.

He said that demand of up-gradation by the management cadre officers in education department was genuine and he would take up the issue with Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf chief Imran Khan and Chief Minister Pervaz Khattak.

Addressing a ceremony organised by the management cadre officers in his honour here on Sunday, the minister said that he came to know about their demands for the first time.

He said that efficient management could deliver in a better way. He said that education and health were top priorities of the provincial government.

Mr Gandapur said that government would provide transport facility to the teachers working in remote areas. He said that government was negotiating with a non-governmental organisation in that regard.

The minister said that all basic facilities would be provided to the schools. He added that government earmarked billions of rupees to achieve different targets in education sector. He said that change would come only through education.

The management cadre officers including Hamayun Khattak, Qadeer Shah, Abdur Rasheed Baloch, Nazeer Khan, Ghulam Fatima and Nargis also spoke on the occasion.

MEETING: Awami National Party-Wali prvocincial Fareed Toofan has said that they will foil the tactics of provincial government to keep the people of the district deprived of their rights.

Addressing party workers and members of different rights organisations here on Sunday, he said that the district was rich in resources but despite that its people were deprived of basic needs.

Mr Toofan said that Khattak Loya Jirga, an organisation of former elected representatives, would extend complete support to the ongoing sit-in of different right organisations at Baz Mohammad Chowk.

He said that former provincial ministers Malik Zafar Azam and Mian Nisar Gul and former district nazims Sharif Khattak and Rehmat Salam Khattak would also extend their support to the ongoing struggle for attainment of the rights of the people of the district.

Meanwhile, provincial president of Jamait Ulema-i-Islam- Fazl Maulana Gul Naseeb and vice president Attaur Rehman addressed the sit-in at Baz Mohammad Chowk and expressed complete solidarity with the protesters.

They urged the federal and provincial governments to resolve the problems of the people of the district.
