Hyderabad MWM demands action against terror dens

HYDERABAD: Leaders of the Hyderabad chapter of the Majlis-i-Wahdat-i-Muslimeen (MWM) have demanded that all those areas which serve as breeding ground for terrorists be eliminated through a military operation.

Speaking at a press conference at the local press club on Monday, Hyderabad MWM general secretary Imdad Ali Nasimi vowed to join the long march to be held by relatives of the Jan 30 Shikarpur Imambargah carnage victims on Tuesday at the bypass.

He said that those seminaries where students were indoctrinated about terrorism should be sealed and action should be taken against all such facilities. Maulana Gul Hassan Murtazvi, Maulana Irfan Ali Irfani, Maulana Noor Hassan Leghari and Shakil Hyder were also present.

He said that if the government had taken action, the heirs of Shikarpur tragedy victims would not have been staging a long march like this. He condemned the Shikarpur and Peshawar Imambargahs attacks, saying that it was clearly reflective of the government’s ineptness.

He said the MWM cadre would join the participants of long march on Tuesday in Hyderabad to demand action against those involved in terrorist activities. He said there were many seminaries in Sindh where weapons were available and which were being used as facilities for terrorist activities.
