PCB wants to share profit of BD series

LAHORE: The Bangladesh Cricket Board has sought one week’s time to reply whether it is ready to accept the demand of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) which wants share of the profit from the full series which the former wants to host in April this year.

The decision was taken by the two cricket boards on the sideline of the ICC meetings, recently held in the UAE, Dawn has learnt.

Pakistan had toured Bangladesh in 2011 and now it is the latter’s turn to tour Pakistan in April for two Tests, three one-dayers and one T20 match but they are reluctant to send their team to Pakistan on security grounds.

On the other hand, the PCB is also showing reluctance to host Bangladesh in the UAE as it would be less profitable for them due to Bangladesh’s low world ranking.

The PCB has said they could tour Bangladesh instead if the latter are ready to share profit of the series with them.
