CM apprised of IDPs problems

PESHAWAR: A representative delegation of the office-bearers of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf from the Federally Administered Tribal Areas called on Chief Minister Pervez Khattak at the CM Secretariat here and apprised him of the problems of internally displaced persons in Tank, Bannu, Dera Ismail Khan and Peshawar as well as of Pakhtuns living in Karachi.

The delegation was led by PTI’s provincial vice-president Zarin Zia and it included Mehsud tribe Sardar from SWA and executive member Dr Dost Mohammad Mehsud, PTI Fata convener Iqbal Afridi, deputy convener Dr Khalil, Tank district president Mohammad Daud and Jehanzeb Barki from Waziristan Agency. Provincial general secretary Khalid Masood was also present on the occasion, says a handout.

The chief minister said that the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and tribal areas were bonded with each other by the strong relations of race, religion, culture, language and many other commonalities. He said that the government and people of province equally shared the grief and suffering of their tribal brethren and were ready to render any sacrifice for them.
