Sangeeta says ...

It’s a healthy sign that oldies, sorry seniors, of the Pakistan film industry are coming out in support of the younger generation of filmmakers. Sangeeta, who is a seasoned director, is known for not mincing words.

So when last week she praised the young directors who are trying to make their presence felt and revive the local film industry (can someone get rid of the word ‘revive’?) it gave the indication that those who once owned the film fraternity are now warming up to the idea of change. She added that the youth needed encouragement to move ahead in their pursuit of excellence.

The question is: will the likes of Sangeeta and Syed Noor accept the use of modern technology wholeheartedly and relearn a few tricks of the trade? Because it’s a combination of fresh blood and experience that takes any enterprise forward.
