Over 120 illegal Afghans deported

NOWSHERA: Over 120 Afghan nationals residing illegally in the district were deported to Afghanistan on Wednesday. They Afghan nationals had been arrested by police and security agencies from different parts of Nowshera district.

The detainees were presented before the court of civil judge and judicial magistrate Syed Hamid, who imposed Rs1,000 fine on each of them and ordered to deport them back to Afghanistan after completion of legal procedure.

Police said that these illegal Afghans were arrested from Akora Khattak, Azakhel, Marhati, Pabbi, Taru Jabba and others places in the district. They said that the detainees were put in the judicial lock-up for investigation and then deported after consultation with Afghan consulate in Peshawar. They said that the crackdown on illegal Afghans would continue in the district.

Meanwhile, a bullet-raided body of a missing person from Gandaf area of Mohmand Agency was found here at the bank of Kabul River near Jehangira bridge.

The body was brought to the DHQ Hospital where Sher Bahadar, brother of deceased, identified him as Mohammad Nabi (25), a resident of Gandaf, who was missing for last 15 days. Akora Khattak police have registered the case against six people on the request of Mr Bahadar.
