Work on girls school begins in Lakki

LAKKI MARWAT: Pakistan Muslim League-N leader and former federal minister Salim Saifullah Khan on Monday performed the ground-breaking ceremony of the government girls higher secondary school, Ghaznikhel, which will be completed at a cost of Rs20 million.

An official of the communication and works department said that the project would be completed by June, having all facilities both for teachers and students, according to a press release.

Mr Saifullah asked the C&W officials to complete the building within the specified period.

He said that people of the area didn’t see any uplift works during the last two years as MPA from the constituency was not interested to carry out people’s welfare projects.

He asked the people to reject such elements in elections as they reached assemblies just for the sake of protecting their own vested interests.

The PML-N leader assured that the Saifullah brothers would continue their struggle to bring the backward district on a par with the developed parts of the province.

He asked the provincial government to approve a special developmental package for Lakki Marwat.

NAURANG NOTABLES JOIN ANP: Several notables of Naurang town along with their supporters on Monday joined Awami National Party.

They made the announcement at a meeting in Kotka Miskeen Abad.

On the occasion, the elders, including Illyas, Slaman, Shoaib and others, said that they would spread the philosophy of Bacha Khan and Wali Khan in the nook and corner of the district.

They vowed that they would leave no stone unturned to render all sorts of sacrifices for the party’s cause.
